Shares of Apple Inc. and Dow Inc. are trading higher Tuesday morning, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.55% was most recently trading 176 points higher (0.6%), as shares of Apple Inc. AAPL, +2.16% and Dow Inc. DOW, +0.85% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally. Apple Inc.’s shares are up $2.08, or 1.8%, while those of Dow Inc. are up $0.72 (1.4%), combining for an approximately 18-point boost for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Microsoft MSFT, +1.96%, Johnson & Johnson JNJ, +1.24%, and Inc. CRM, +1.93%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.58-point swing.
