American Express (AXP) Outpaces Stock Market Gains: What You Should Know

American Express (AXP) closed the most recent trading day at $116.40, moving +1.2% from the previous trading session. This change outpaced the S&P 500’s 1.09% gain on the day. At the same time, the Dow added 1.21%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 1.34%.

Heading into today, shares of the credit card issuer and global payments company had lost 3.36% over the past month, lagging the Finance sector’s loss of 1.13% and the S&P 500’s loss of 1.17% in that time.
