Indian benchmarks settled in red on Monday, with bank and energy stocks booking the biggest losses.
Both BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty ended lower for the second straight session as investors worry over the prospect of the US keeping interest rates higher for longer.
At close, the Sensex dropped 311.03 points, or 0.5%, to 60,691.54, while the Nifty fell 99.60 points, or 0.6%, to 17,844.60.
