Caterpillar, Visa share losses lead Dow's nearly 250-point drop

Shares of Caterpillar and Visa are trading lower Tuesday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. Shares of Caterpillar CAT, -3.32% and Visa V, -2.04% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -0.49% was most recently trading 242 points (0.7%) lower. Caterpillar’s shares are down $8.63, or 4.4%, while those of Visa have fallen $5.44 (2.6%), combining for an approximately 93-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Boeing BA, -2.95%, Intel INTC, -1.57%, and Nike NKE, -1.42%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
