Dow's nearly 50-point jump highlighted by gains in shares of Boeing, Intel

Behind strong returns for shares of Boeing and Intel, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up Monday morning. The Dow DJIA, +0.25% is trading 48 points (0.2%) higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +7.13% and Intel INTC, +2.46% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares have climbed $9.72, or 6.1%, while those of Intel are up $1.18 (3.3%), combining for an approximately 72-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Procter & Gamble PG, +2.76%, Home Depot HD, +2.20%, and Coca-Cola KO, +0.83%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.59-point swing.
