Microsoft, Salesforce Inc. share gains contribute to Dow's 67-point jump

Shares of Microsoft and Salesforce Inc. are trading higher Wednesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Microsoft MSFT, +4.93% and Salesforce Inc. CRM, +4.43% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.33% is trading 67 points higher (0.2%). Microsoft’s shares have gained $12.22, or 4.9%, while those of Salesforce Inc. have gained $7.92 (4.7%), combining for an approximately 133-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Walmart WMT, +2.66%, Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.84%, and Intel INTC, +1.70%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
