Dow's 389-point drop led by losses for shares of Salesforce Inc., Home Depot

Shares of Salesforce Inc. and Home Depot are posting losses Thursday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. The Dow DJIA, -2.51% was most recently trading 389 points, or 1.1%, lower, as shares of Salesforce Inc. CRM, -6.21% and Home Depot HD, -4.28% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Salesforce Inc.’s shares have declined $6.49, or 3.5%, while those of Home Depot are off $8.71, or 2.8%, combining for an approximately 100-point drag on the Dow. Nike NKE, -5.22%, Apple Inc. AAPL, -3.73%, and Microsoft MSFT, -4.47% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.59-point swing.
