Nike, Procter & Gamble share losses lead Dow's 111-point drop

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday morning with shares of Nike and Procter & Gamble facing the biggest declines for the blue-chip average. Shares of Nike NKE, -2.55% and Procter & Gamble PG, -1.37% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.20% was most recently trading 111 points, or 0.3%, lower. Nike’s shares have declined $4.88, or 3.9%, while those of Procter & Gamble have dropped $2.60 (1.6%), combining for a roughly 49-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are McDonald’s MCD, -0.31%, Visa V, -1.40%, and Home Depot HD, -0.65%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
