Nike, Boeing share losses contribute to Dow's nearly 550-point fall

Shares of Nike and Boeing are retreating Tuesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. Shares of Nike NKE, -5.71% and Boeing BA, -4.96% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -2.23% was most recently trading 544 points (1.6%) lower. Nike’s shares have dropped $6.26 (4.9%) while those of Boeing are down $7.78, or 4.4%, combining for an approximately 93-point drag on the Dow. Visa V, -3.66%, 3M MMM, -2.79%, and Caterpillar CAT, -2.94% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index equates to a 6.59-point swing.
