Nike, Boeing share losses contribute to Dow's 429-point fall

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is seeing a selloff Tuesday afternoon with shares of Nike and Boeing facing the biggest declines for the blue-chip average. Shares of Nike NKE, -5.08% and Boeing BA, -4.57% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.79% was most recently trading 429 points (1.3%) lower. Nike’s shares have dropped $5.17, or 4.0%, while those of Boeing are off $6.80, or 3.9%, combining for a roughly 79-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include 3M MMM, -3.10%, Visa V, -3.11%, and Caterpillar CAT, -3.06%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
