Caterpillar, JPMorgan Chase share gains contribute to Dow's 119-point jump

Shares of Caterpillar and JPMorgan Chase are seeing positive gains Monday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.14% is trading 119 points, or 0.3%, higher, as shares of Caterpillar CAT, +1.83% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +0.88% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Caterpillar’s shares have risen $4.62 (2.0%) while those of JPMorgan Chase have climbed $2.02, or 1.6%, combining for an approximately 44-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include American Express AXP, +1.34%, Goldman Sachs GS, +0.62%, and Chevron CVX, +1.32%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
