Dow's nearly 100-point climb highlighted by gains in shares of Boeing, Honeywell International Inc.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Friday morning with shares of Boeing and Honeywell International Inc. seeing positive growth for the price-weighted average. The Dow DJIA, +0.20% is trading 96 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +2.77% and Honeywell International Inc. HON, +2.77% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares are up $6.06, or 2.9%, while those of Honeywell International Inc. are up $5.89, or 2.8%, combining for a roughly 79-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Verizon Communications Inc. VZ, +1.69%, Merck MRK, +1.76%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, +1.92%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
