Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase share gains lead Dow's 212-point jump

Shares of Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase are trading higher Tuesday morning, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +3.09% and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +4.05% are contributing about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.81% is trading 212 points higher (0.6%). Goldman Sachs’s shares are up $10.03 (2.5%) while those of JPMorgan Chase have gained $3.94, or 2.4%, combining for an approximately 92-point boost for the Dow. American Express AXP, +3.06%, Caterpillar CAT, +3.88%, and Coca-Cola KO, +1.62% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the index results in a 6.59-point swing.
