Nike, Home Depot share gains contribute to Dow's nearly 100-point jump

Led by strong returns for shares of Nike and Home Depot, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Wednesday morning. The Dow DJIA, +0.21% was most recently trading 96 points, or 0.3%, higher, as shares of Nike NKE, +1.73% and Home Depot HD, +0.78% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Nike’s shares are up $2.67 (1.6%) while those of Home Depot are up $3.64, or 0.9%, combining for an approximately 42-point bump for the Dow. Cisco CSCO, +0.59%, Amgen Inc. AMGN, +0.38%, and Procter & Gamble PG, +0.62% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
