Nike, Boeing share gains lead Dow's nearly 300-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Tuesday morning with shares of Nike and Boeing seeing positive gains for the index. The Dow DJIA, +1.01% is trading 296 points (0.9%) higher, as shares of Nike NKE, +6.39% and Boeing BA, +4.83% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Nike’s shares are up $9.98 (6.4%) while those of Boeing are up $5.21, or 2.8%, combining for an approximately 100-point boost for the Dow. American Express AXP, +2.43%, Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.40%, and Walt Disney DIS, +2.47% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
