Catch the scent of Christmas along with that of greenery at the Holiday Open House and Artisan Market.

This event will go from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21, in the greenhouses at Bookcliff Gardens, 755 26 Road.

There will be poinsettias, Christmas cactus, evergreen boughs and wreaths for the holidays as well as gift options such as flower bulbs.

While the open house has taken place other years, this is the first time an artisan market will be part of the event.

“Since we had to cancel the event due to COVID last year, we decided to step it up by celebrating and supporting local artisans,” said Bookcliff’s owner, Stephanie Griggs, in a news release.

“The curated artisan market will host 45 local creators, makers, artists, jewelers and other vendors who will have booths in the east greenhouse,” the news release said.

Side note: Bookcliff Gardens is partnering with Grand Junction Symphony Guild to support the symphony with a holiday greens fundraiser offering a selection of greenery for the season at various prices. Purchases can be made through, and items can be picked up Friday or Saturday, Nov. 19–20, at Bookcliff Gardens.
