Boeing, Walt Disney share gains contribute to Dow's nearly 300-point jump

Shares of Boeing and Walt Disney are seeing positive growth Friday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.87% was most recently trading 296 points higher (0.8%), as shares of Boeing BA, +3.10% and Walt Disney DIS, +2.40% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares have gained $7.28 (3.4%) while those of Walt Disney are up $4.06 (2.4%), combining for a roughly 75-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Visa V, +2.42%, Caterpillar CAT, +2.09%, and Honeywell International Inc. HON, +2.25%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components results in a 6.59-point swing.
