Cleveland Browns trade piece No. 2 – Greedy Williams

I’ll be honest, I’d be against trading Greedy Williams because I don’t think you can ever have enough cornerbacks in the NFL. However, I would totally understand if Andrew Berry tried to bring in a haul for him.

Berry may struggle to find a suitor for Williams because of the injuries, but his stock has never been higher after replacing Greg Newsome for Sunday’s game and playing lights out. Not only did he have six tackles in the game, but he also had an interception that really sealed the deal for the Browns victory.

Right now, the Browns have four corners playing at an extremely high level. Troy Hill has been the best, but Denzel Ward, Greg Newsome, and Williams have also been great. The problem with so many talented guys, they can’t all be on the field at the same time. The positive of so many great guys, you can afford an injury here and there and still be okay.

Because of the injury history for Newsome, Ward, and Williams, it would take a pretty strong offer for Berry to move on. However, it’s a situation where Berry should certainly be answering the phone. A team like Tampa Bay, who is in the hunt, but has been decimated at the position could be willing to give a strong pick to solidify their squad.
