Dow's 90-point jump led by gains in Chevron, Nike stocks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is trading up Tuesday morning with shares of Chevron and Nike delivering strong returns for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +0.56% was most recently trading 90 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Chevron CVX, +2.66% and Nike NKE, +1.35% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $2.22, or 2.1%, while those of Nike have climbed $2.12 (1.4%), combining for an approximately 29-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Goldman Sachs GS, +1.69%, UnitedHealth UNH, +0.97%, and Microsoft MSFT, +0.91%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
