Dow's 575-point drop led by losses for Microsoft, Inc. stocks

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is in a selloff Tuesday afternoon with shares of Microsoft and Inc. facing the biggest drops for the blue-chip average. Shares of Microsoft MSFT, -3.01% and Inc. CRM, -2.54% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, -1.60% was most recently trading 575 points (1.7%) lower. Microsoft’s shares are down $9.01 (3.1%) while those of Inc. have dropped $7.50 (2.7%), combining for a roughly 109-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Goldman Sachs GS, -2.60%, Home Depot HD, -2.26%, and Boeing BA, -2.54%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
