Dow's 485-point fall led by losses for Microsoft, Boeing stocks

Shares of Microsoft and Boeing are retreating Tuesday afternoon, propelling the Dow Jones Industrial Average selloff. The Dow DJIA, -1.22% was most recently trading 485 points, or 1.4%, lower, as shares of Microsoft MSFT, -2.82% and Boeing BA, -1.94% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Microsoft’s shares have fallen $8.04 (2.7%) while those of Boeing have declined $5.52 (2.5%), combining for a roughly 89-point drag on the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, -2.05%, Home Depot HD, -1.90%, and Apple Inc. AAPL, -1.92% are also contributing significantly to the decline. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
