Dow drops 489 points on losses for shares of Microsoft, Inc.

Dragged down by declines for shares of Microsoft and Inc., the Dow Jones Industrial Average is in selloff mode Tuesday morning. The Dow DJIA, -1.40% was most recently trading 489 points lower (-1.4%), as shares of Microsoft MSFT, -2.92% and Inc. CRM, -2.63% are contributing to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Microsoft’s shares have fallen $9.23 (3.1%) while those of Inc. have declined $8.03 (2.9%), combining for an approximately 114-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Walt Disney DIS, -2.20%, Goldman Sachs GS, -2.05%, and Boeing BA, -2.24%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark equates to a 6.58-point swing.
