Boeing, Chevron share gains contribute to Dow's 213-point jump

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday morning with shares of Boeing and Chevron seeing positive gains for the blue-chip average. The Dow DJIA, +0.60% is trading 213 points (0.6%) higher, as shares of Boeing BA, +2.97% and Chevron CVX, +2.98% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally. Boeing’s shares have risen $6.34 (2.9%) while those of Chevron are up $2.69 (2.7%), combining for a roughly 59-point boost for the Dow. Goldman Sachs GS, +2.12%, Caterpillar CAT, +1.99%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.11% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
