Dow rallies 413 points on gains in Boeing, Chevron shares

Shares of Boeing and Chevron are posting positive gains Wednesday afternoon, leading the Dow Jones Industrial Average rally. Shares of Boeing BA, +4.09% and Chevron CVX, +2.84% are contributing about 25% of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.02% is trading 413 points, or 1.2%, higher. Boeing’s shares are up $8.57, or 4.1%, while those of Chevron have gained $3.27 (3.4%), combining for an approximately 78-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Goldman Sachs GS, +2.56%, American Express AXP, +2.59%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.01%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
