Boeing, Chevron share gains lead Dow's 510-point rally

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is rallying Wednesday afternoon with shares of Boeing and Chevron seeing positive gains for the blue-chip average. Shares of Boeing BA, +3.88% and Chevron CVX, +3.36% have contributed about 25% of the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +1.07% was most recently trading 510 points (1.5%) higher. Boeing’s shares have gained $9.07, or 4.4%, while those of Chevron are up $3.91 (4.1%), combining for a roughly 85-point boost for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include American Express AXP, +2.67%, Goldman Sachs GS, +3.17%, and JPMorgan Chase JPM, +2.26%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
