American Express, Nike share gains lead Dow's 63-point jump

Shares of American Express and Nike are trading higher Tuesday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of American Express AXP, +1.86% and Nike NKE, +0.72% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.03% was most recently trading 63 points (0.2%) higher. American Express’s shares have risen $3.63 (2.3%) while those of Nike are up $1.25 (0.8%), combining for a roughly 32-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include Home Depot HD, +0.72%, McDonald’s MCD, +0.54%, and UnitedHealth UNH, +0.29%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the benchmark results in a 6.58-point swing.
