Walgreens Boots, Caterpillar share gains lead Dow's nearly 200-point jump

Shares of Walgreens Boots and Caterpillar are seeing strong returns Wednesday afternoon, lifting the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Walgreens Boots WBA, +2.55% and Caterpillar CAT, +1.92% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.57% was most recently trading 191 points (0.6%) higher. Walgreens Boots’s shares are up $1.18, or 2.4%, while those of Caterpillar are up $4.01, or 2.0%, combining for a roughly 34-point bump for the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the gain include UnitedHealth UNH, +1.64%, Amgen Inc. AMGN, +1.48%, and Chevron CVX, +1.48%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow equates to a 6.58-point swing.
