Dow up nearly 100 points on gains for shares of Goldman Sachs, Walgreens Boots

Shares of Goldman Sachs and Walgreens Boots are posting strong returns Monday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow DJIA, +0.28% is trading 95 points (0.3%) higher, as shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +1.78% and Walgreens Boots WBA, +0.17% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Goldman Sachs’s shares are up $6.90, or 1.9%, while those of Walgreens Boots are up $0.47, or 1.0%, combining for a roughly 49-point bump for the Dow. Walt Disney DIS, +1.33%, JPMorgan Chase JPM, +1.01%, and Chevron CVX, +0.26% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
