Dow climbs nearly 100 points on gains in shares of Goldman Sachs, Home Depot

Shares of Goldman Sachs and Home Depot are seeing positive gains Friday morning, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. Shares of Goldman Sachs GS, +1.06% and Home Depot HD, +0.52% are contributing to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.13% is trading 92 points (0.3%) higher. Goldman Sachs’s shares are up $4.01, or 1.1%, while those of Home Depot have climbed $2.79 (0.9%), combining for an approximately 45-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are McDonald’s MCD, +1.06%, Dow Inc. DOW, +0.84%, and Travelers TRV, +0.98%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
