Dow jumps nearly 150 points on gains for shares of Cisco, Microsoft

The Dow Jones Industrial Average is climbing Monday morning with shares of Cisco and Microsoft seeing positive gains for the price-weighted average. Shares of Cisco CSCO, +1.94% and Microsoft MSFT, +1.74% have contributed to the index’s intraday rally, as the Dow DJIA, +0.43% is trading 144 points higher (0.4%). Cisco’s shares have gained $1.10 (2.1%) while those of Microsoft have risen $4.67, or 1.9%, combining for a roughly 38-point bump for the Dow. Inc. CRM, +1.54%, Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.04%, and Intel INTC, +1.07% are also contributing significantly to the gain. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
