Dow down 383 points on losses in Chevron, Boeing stocks

Behind negative returns for shares of Chevron and Boeing, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is in selloff mode Wednesday morning. The Dow DJIA, -1.39% was most recently trading 383 points (1.1%) lower, as shares of Chevron CVX, -3.62% and Boeing BA, -2.47% have contributed to the index’s intraday decline. Chevron’s shares have dropped $2.73 (2.6%) while those of Boeing are down $5.09, or 2.2%, combining for an approximately 51-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Caterpillar CAT, -2.75%, Dow Inc. DOW, -2.75%, and Walgreens Boots WBA, -2.02%. A $1 move in any one of the 30 components of the Dow results in a 6.58-point swing.
