Aegon has appointed Jane Hepburne Scott as investment manager, to join the firm’s 27-strong equities team on its US equities desk.

Scott, who has seven years’ experience researching large-cap global equities, will focus on providing investment ideas for several of Aegon’s global equity funds. These include the Global Sustainable Equity fund, as well as the Global Equity Income and Global Equity Market Neutral funds.

Scott joins Aegon from Edinburgh partners where she was an investment analyst, overseeing the firm’s global portfolios. She had previously covered a similar role at investment boutique Dundas Global investors.

She will report to Aegon’s head of equities, Stephen Adams, who said: ‘Jane brings a wealth of investment knowledge to the equities team and her appointment will continue to broaden and deepen our expertise in US equities.

‘We have seen strong investor demand for our global equity products in recent years and are committed to having the right team in place to meet this demand.’

Scott’s appointment follows the firm’s announcement in Q1 2021, that it intends to transition the Aegon Global Equity fund to become the Aegon Sustainable Equity fund, borne out of client demand for a UK-domiciled version of its Dublin-registered fund.
