Inc., Home Depot share losses lead Dow's 50-point drop

Behind negative returns for shares of Inc. and Home Depot, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is declining Tuesday afternoon. The Dow DJIA, -0.33% was most recently trading 54 points lower (-0.2%), as shares of Inc. CRM, -1.55% and Home Depot HD, -1.44% have contributed to the blue-chip gauge’s intraday decline. Inc.’s shares are down $3.09 (1.4%) while those of Home Depot have declined $3.32, or 1.2%, combining for an approximately 42-point drag on the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the decline are Nike NKE, -1.31%, Caterpillar CAT, -1.18%, and Goldman Sachs GS, -1.03%. A $1 move in any of the index’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
