Shares of Intel INTC, -3.12% and IBM IBM, -2.39% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline, as the Dow DJIA, +0.02% was most recently trading 36 points, or 0.1%, lower. Intel’s shares are off $1.54 (3.3%) while those of IBM have fallen $3.45 (2.7%), combining for an approximately 33-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Dow Inc. DOW, -1.69%, Coca-Cola KO, -1.77%, and Cisco CSCO, -1.79%. A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.58-point swing.
