Shares of Intel and Chevron are trading lower Friday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into negative territory. The Dow DJIA, -0.57% was most recently trading 244 points (0.8%) lower, as shares of Intel INTC, -4.56% and Chevron CVX, -1.51% are contributing to the index’s intraday decline. Intel’s shares have fallen $1.70, or 3.4%, while those of Chevron have dropped $1.76, or 2.0%, combining for a roughly 23-point drag on the Dow. Other components contributing significantly to the decline include Apple Inc. AAPL, -1.57%, Amgen Inc. AMGN, -1.98%, and UnitedHealth UNH, -1.58%. A $1 move in any of the Dow’s 30 components results in a 6.58-point swing.
